On Wednesday, 16 Rabi’ Al-Thani 1447 AH, corresponding to October 8, 2025, the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders welcomed a group of third-level students from the Laboratory Department at Al-Ghad International College during an educational and awareness visit.
The visit aimed to introduce the students to the risks of hereditary blood disorders and highlight the importance of premarital screening to help reduce their spread.
During the visit, the students learned about the medical services provided by the treatment center, including blood transfusion procedures and the ongoing medical care required by patients.
The visit also featured an awareness lecture presented by the Society’s team, focusing on the role of health education in preventing these chronic genetic diseases.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Society for its humanitarian and awareness efforts, emphasizing that the visit enriched their practical knowledge and gave them a deeper understanding of the reality faced by patients with hereditary blood disorders in Yemen. #Thalassemia
