On Thursday, 10 Sha’ban 1447 AH, corresponding to January 29, 2026, Yemen Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorders held an evening event entitled “Positivity and Thalassemia: Towards a More Peaceful Psychological Life.”
The session was delivered by psychological therapist Ms. Khetam Al-Hakami for a group of thalassemia champions.
The event aimed to promote mental well-being and improve the quality of life of patients by providing practical strategies to cope with daily challenges with calmness and positivity.
Participants expressed great happiness and appreciation for the valuable content presented, affirming that such events enhance their self-confidence and contribute significantly to improving their psychological well-being.
In turn, the Society’s Director expressed his appreciation for the efforts exerted in organizing this event, emphasizing that caring for the mental health of individuals with thalassemia is an essential part of the Society’s humanitarian and social mission.
