Today, Tuesday, 20 Jumada al-Thani 1445 AH, corresponding to January 2, 2024,
the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders (YSTH) welcomed female students from the Department of Languages and Humanities, Community Service major, Level 4, at Al-Mustaqbal University.
The students were introduced to the therapeutic center’s departments, the medical services provided to patients, and the awareness activities conducted by the Society. They were shown educational videos about thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic anemias, emphasizing the importance of early screening and medical consultation before marriage as the most effective means to reduce the incidence of these chronic hereditary diseases.
At the conclusion of the visit, an agreement was made to coordinate the organization of an awareness campaign and a voluntary blood donation drive at the university.
