The National University, in coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Diseases (YSTH), held on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 10-11, 2023, an awareness campaign to introduce the risks of thalassemia and hereditary hemolytic diseases, their transmission methods, and prevention measures, emphasizing the importance of early screening and medical consultation before marriage. The campaign included a voluntary blood donation drive for patients with thalassemia, hereditary blood diseases, and others, in cooperation with the National Blood Transfusion and Research Center.
The Society’s administration expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to the National University and the National Center for their engagement and efforts in making this campaign successful.
