Thalassemia Center Overwhelmed with Patients – Administration Urgently Appeals to Organizations
The Thalassemia and Hereditary Blood Disorders Care Center is currently overwhelmed with hundreds of patients, as the number of critical cases continues to rise due to the severe shortage of essential medications and medical solutions.
The emergency and inpatient departments have received dozens of deteriorating cases, with patients suffering serious health setbacks caused by the lack of daily life-sustaining treatments.
Thalassemia and hereditary blood disorder patients require lifelong daily access to vital medications and therapies, without which their conditions rapidly worsen.
In light of this crisis, the Center issued an urgent humanitarian appeal last Monday to local and international organizations to step in and save the lives of tens of thousands of patients suffering from thalassemia and other inherited blood disorders.
